Castle Hayne, NC—May 12, 2009—VisionAIR®, provider of the integrated Public Safety Suite® of software, announces its newest client, the Lee County Emergency Telephone System Board (ETSB) in Illinois. Located in Northwest Illinois, approximately 90 minutes west of Chicago, Lee County covers 725 square miles and has a population of more than 35,000. The ETSB supports and maintains the consolidated public safety system for four Police Departments (Dixon, Amboy, Franklin Grove, and Ashton), the Lee County Sheriff’s Department, two full-time Fire Departments, eight Volunteer Fire Departments, and one Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP).
Prior to selecting VisionAIR, the County operated disparate Public Safety software systems: the PSAP, Police Departments, Fire Departments, and Jail all used separate applications. The ETSB embarked on this project to consolidate the software systems “with the hope of being able to streamline the flow of information between agencies within the county and avoid duplication of effort,” said Lt. Brad Sibley, ETSB Board Chairman. Furthermore, the PSAP received notification that their computer-aided dispatch (CAD) application is being discontinued. By switching to the VisionAIR software, Lee County will have a single, comprehensive system with broad access to relevant data for all public safety agencies within the county.
The integrated public safety system consists of products from VisionAIR’s Public Safety Suite, including Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD), Records Management System (RMS), Mobile Data applications for both law enforcement and fire service, Field Reporting, Fire Service Management, Inmate Management, Web-based Data Sharing, and Learning Management System. VisionAIR is also providing solutions for accessing legacy data and mapping. The project will be fully implemented over the next six to twelve months.

The Lee County ETSB is a nine-member board with representatives from two Police Departments, two Fire Departments, two Medical services, one County Board designee, one Sheriff’s Department designee, and one citizen-at-large designee.
