Castle Hayne, NC—June 3, 2010—VisionAIR®, provider of the integrated Public Safety Suite® of software, announces its newest client, Mitchell County Emergency Communications in North Carolina. Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina, it is approximately 50 miles northeast of Asheville. The contract includes providing a total public safety solution for Mitchell County Emergency Communications.
Prior to selecting VisionAIR, Mitchell County Emergency Communications operated an antiquated and unsupported Public Safety software system. By switching to the current and integrated system provided by VisionAIR, the County will have a fully supported, comprehensive system with broad access to relevant 911 data for the public safety agencies within the county. The new system will allow the County’s call takers and dispatchers to deploy sheriff, police, fire, and EMS services quickly and efficiently.
The integrated public safety system consists of products from VisionAIR’s Public Safety Suite, including Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD), Web-based Data Sharing, and a Disaster Recovery Backup Solution. VisionAIR is also providing its Message Switch, interfaces to ProQA for enhanced emergency medical dispatching, a technologically advanced VoIP E-911 system, a radio system, dispatch furniture, and mapping solutions. The project will be fully implemented over the next six months.
