DRIVERS LICENSE READER (DLR)
The optional DLR module in VisionMOBILE LAW now supports barcode scanner and magnetic stripe readers!
The optional Drivers License Reader (DLR) module in VisionMOBILE LAW now supports barcode scanner and magnetic stripe readers for reading drivers licenses for the electronic capture of drivers license information.
Officers swipe the license, and the DLR module automatically runs NCIC queries and transfers subject information to VisionCAD. This provides a great time-savings to both the officer and the telecommunicator and reduces the chance for errors.
The new VisionMOBILE 3.5 release also supports the display of NCIC and DMV/BMV images for states that support image transfer.

EMPLOYEE PROFILE: Christina Johnson
 Clients with VisionCAD, VisionGIS, VisionFIRE, VisionCONNECT, or VisionMOBILE are probably already familiar with Christina Johnson. She has worked in VisionAIR’s Client Services Department for three years, and she is the Team Lead for these products.
“I really enjoy figuring out creative ways to resolve issues,” Christina said. “Digging in and finding out the nuances to each agency's unique workflow and how it affects the way they use VisionAIR software is very interesting.” Anyone who knows Christina knows that she is sincere in these comments and in her work day in and day out.
Christina continued, “I love a challenge! So the most challenging part of my job is also the best part.”
“Christina is an integral part of the cohesion of our team,” said Janice Kivett, Client Services Assistant Manager. “Her product knowledge and ability to step back and view the large picture allows us to position our team to provide the exceptional client service that we here at VisionAIR constantly strive to achieve.”
Before working for VisionAIR, Christina worked as an IT Manager for a medical supply company in Wilmington, NC.
“I love the team spirit that we have in Client Services,” Christina added. “We work together to solve problems and we have tons of fun while doing so.”
